Some lighting jobs are straightforward while others are more challenging. Simple ceiling pendants are lightweight and can be screwed securely in place, while light fittings which are larger and heavier will require additional supports to hold them in place; adding additional switch points increases the amount of cable needed and time taken for the job, and installing light fittings into a solid wall is more complex compared to a hollow wall or ceiling
