LIGHT SWITCHED                                               (OUR FAVOURITE!) CONTROLLED SOCKETS

 

One of our favourite lighting installations at Power Team Electrics is light switch controlled sockets. These are perfect for lamps — letting you turn them on and off from a wall switch rather than reaching behind furniture.
We always install round-pin sockets for these circuits. This is an important safety feature: it prevents anyone from plugging in high-powered appliances like heaters or tumble dryers, which could overload the lighting circuit. A normal socket might work fine for a lamp, but plug in something powerful and you could cause serious damage or even a fire. Round-pin sockets make the setup both safe and convenient.

Despite regulations requiring lighting sockets to be round pin, most lamps still come with a standard plug attached. We know that this is an inconvenience! That's why at Power Team we decided to offer you the choice of either a complimentary plug rewire, so that your chosen lamp can be plugged into the round pin socket, or our engineers will supply you with an adaptor

GARDEN LIGHTING
